He served as a Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2015 until March 2023.
From 1999 to 2001, he held the position of Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In 2006–2007, he served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In 2015–2016, he was Secretary of State at the Ministry of the State Treasury, and subsequently, from 2016 to 2018, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
In 2018, he was appointed Minister of Digital Affairs.
In 2020, he took up the position of Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
From 1996 to 1999, he was President of the Management Board of the Pomeranian Radio Station.
In 2005–2006 and again in 2009–2015, he served as President of the Management Board of the European Fund for the Development of Polish Rural Areas.
In 2005, he was appointed President of the Management Board of Credit Guarantees Ltd.
From 2007 to 2009, he was Vice-President of the Management Board of Wipasz S.A.
From 2023 to 2025, he served as President of the Management Board of the National Food Group S.A.
