Marcin Pawel Golębiewski was born on June 8, 1981 in Lowicz. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of Animal Sciences at SGGW, obtaining, with distinction, the title of Master of Science in Animal Science. Immediately after graduation, he began full-time doctoral studies at the Department of Detailed Animal Husbandry. He received his doctoral degree in zootechnics in 2010, and his doctoral degree in agricultural sciences in the discipline – zootechnics and fisheries in 2018. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies entitled Innovation Manager at the School of Economics in 2012.

He joined SGGW as an assistant professor in 2010. Since 2020, he has been a professor at SGGW in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Institute of Animal Science. Since 2012, he has served as the Economic Affairs Officer of the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, and since 2019 as the Coordinator of Economic Cooperation. From 2012 to 2019, he was the initiator and supervisor of the Scientific Circle at the Faculty of Animal Sciences. He was also the originator and manager of the first Innovation Incubator at SGGW, established within the framework of a project obtained from MNISW funds. Since 2015, he has been a member of the QMP Standards Standing Unit at the Polish Association of Meat Cattle Producers, and since 2016. Director of the Institute of Animal Science at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences since 2021 and Chairman of the Council of Zootechnics and Fisheries disciplines. Vice-Chairman of the Breeding Council at the Polish Union of Meat Cattle Breeders and Producers. Expert on cattle breeding and breeding in many popular science and scientific journals. He is co-owner and Board Member of 3 Sturt-ups, where he successfully implements his ideas into business practice.

During his work at SGGW, he took many courses and internships, both domestic and foreign. His improvement was mainly focused on the commercialization of scientific research results – 11 domestic and 2 foreign training courses, min. ASTP Proton organized by the Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals in Istanbul, Turkey. He has also held a number of scientific internships already directly related to his scientific interests in France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The scientific interests of Dr. Marcin Golebiewski, are mainly focused on issues related to livestock breeding, particularly dairy and beef cattle breeding, and include the following areas: factors determining the quality of cow’s milk and the possibility of its modification, the impact of the condition of dairy cows on milk performance, the functioning of the reproductive system and the health of dairy cows, prevention and support of treatment of the bovine mammary gland with the use of nanotechnology, and Precision Livestock Farming. He is the author of 211 popular science articles, 110 scientific articles and 14 book chapters and monographs. He has filed more than 31 patent applications and co-authored 24 patents and utility models. He is a respected specialist in the field of animal husbandry, as evidenced by the fact that he has lectured at more than 215 conferences and more than 90 training courses and workshops.

As a manager or contractor, he participated in the implementation of scientific research funded by national (Committee for Scientific Research, National Science Center, National Center for Research and Development, Polish Agency for Entrepreneurship Support) and foreign (7th Framework Program and Horizon 2020) funds. In total, he participated in the implementation of about 45 scientific and scientific-implementation projects. Many of his projects ended with the implementation of specific solutions.

Associate promoter in three completed doctoral dissertations.
For his scientific and organizational activities, he has been repeatedly awarded by the awards of JM Rector of SGGW in Warsaw. In 2018, he received a badge of honor from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development “Meritorious for Agriculture”.
